Introduction

The player must recover a precious object in a malleable environment, where he will have to solve puzzles based on physically simulated objects.
He must first reach the precious object and then find a way to extract it from the level.

What did i do ?

  • Creation and editing of documents.
  • Creation of a prototype.
  • Designing the game features and systems with an other designer.
  • Creation of the blockout of the Level design.
  • Utilisation of the fracture Mode of UE5 for Destruction.
  • Implementing level design and game features.

Mechanics

Interaction

The player can interact with Physic component to make the world interact with himself or the player.

Destruction

The player can modify his environment by the destruction way.

Vehicule

The player can use a physic vehicule depending of the level.

Level Design

Process - Paper Work

The 1st phase was paper work, then I transferred and clarified it on a 2D numeric map with a document exposing my intentions and the flow of the level, with visual references.

Process - Block Out

Subsequently, a 3D blockout was created using Unreal Engine to evaluate the scale of the Level, evaluate its flow, and conduct any necessary retakes.

Process - Modules

After that, I replaced the blockout with modules to make the level clearer and more readable.
